Tanner Maddex Obituary

Tanner William Maddex, 20, of Fairbanks, passed away on March 28, 2020.
Tanner was born on Dec. 7, 1999, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital to Angela and Tim Maddex. He was the youngest out of six siblings and an uncle to 5 nieces and nephews. He attending ICS/Monroe Catholic High School up until his junior year and then transferred to Star of the North Secondary School where he graduated on June 29, 2018. At the time of his passing, Tanner was working for Bureau of Veritas Holding Inc.
Tanner was the happiest when he was snowboarding with friends, listening to music and being carefree. He enjoyed going on trips to Texas and Costa Rica with his best friend Chase and if anybody was in need, Tanner was always there. Tanner enjoyed going to Oakland Raider games with his dad, watching movies with his mom, having talks with his sister and being the most loving and caring uncle to Alice and Dominik. He adored his dog, Buster, and helped raise him from the time he was a puppy. Tanner had a loving soul, big heart, full of charisma and an infectious smile. We will sorely miss hearing his laughter at every family occasion and seeing his face every day.
He is survived by his family: parents, Tim and Angela; siblings, Samantha, Daniel, Carrick, Joshua and Scott; nieces, Alice and Summer; and nephews, Dominik, Kaleb and Payden; his grandma, Lois Feulner, of Pueblo, Colorado; the DeVitos, Marcouiller and the Clemons families; as well as many other family members throughout the Lower 48 and many friends in Fairbanks who loved and cared for him deeply. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Haynes and his Uncle Marty.
The family is planning on having services at a later date.

I'm holding you all in my heart. I wish it could be my arms. I can still hear Tanner yelling my name across the fence that separated our homes. I remember the times the kids would play together. Angela and Tim you raised a fine young man. I wish I would have had the honor to know him as he grew. I love you,
