SHIRLEY JEANNE GARMON VALPARAISO, IN Shirley Jeanne Garmon, 83, of Valparaiso passed away on her daughter, Patti's, birthday, Friday, April 17, 2015. She was born February 23, 1932 in Valparaiso to Nelson and Grace (Falls) Olsborg and graduated from Valparaiso High School. Shirley made her career with McGill's Manufacturing Electrical Division in riveting departmant for 22 years. She enjoyed the piano, gardening, reading, working crossword puzzles and schooling her grandchildren in Nintendo. She also loved her shepherd/collie mix puppy "Mandy" who is missing her. On May 24, 1953 she married Robert Lee Garmon who preceded her in death in 1988. Survivors include their children: Terry Sue Hollis, Steven Lee (Dawn) Garmon, Robert Allen (Kathy) Garmon and Sandra Kay (Doug) Mathews all of Valparaiso, virtual son-in -law, Mike Gillispie of Kouts, grandchildren: Chris, Steve, Jason, Curtis and Amber and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Patti and Cheryl Garmon and son-in-law, Jeffery Hollis. A funeral service will be held Monday 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, Rev. Richard Holtz officiating with burial following at Graceland Cemetery.
