NORMAN ORENTREICH Obituary

ORENTREICH-- Dr. Norman. The Lauder Family and Fabrizio Freda, on behalf of The Estee Lauder Companies Inc., deeply mourn the passing of Dr. Norman Orentreich. The founding dermatologist of Clinique, Dr. Orentreich has been a trusted friend, colleague and advisor to the Company for more than 50 years. In the mid- 1960s, he pioneered prescribing customized skin care to help people of all different skin types, ages and concerns create great skin. It was a simple three-step regimen, and the very beginning of Clinique. Along with Clinique's founder, Carol Phillips, Dr. Orentreich shaped the brand and was its guiding light for many years. He changed the way the world looked at skin care even as he did unheralded research on the effects of aging on every aspect of the body. We will be forever grateful to him and will continue his legacy working with his children, Drs. Catherine and David Orentreich, who have been part of the Clinique family for many years. Our thoughts are with his many colleagues and friends, and his cherished family.
