STANLEY MOSES Obituary
Hunter College mourns the loss of our cherished Professor Stanley Moses, who died on Friday, May 19th. Born in 1936, he taught in the Urban Policy and Planning Department since 1971, and served as chair from 1998 to 2008. His work on equality in education and employment, as well as his contributions to the community, have been deeply valued. Stan was a proud graduate of City College, with a doctorate from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He leaves behind his wife, Anne, two sons, Daniel and Joshua, and many family and friends. A memorial service will be held on June 18th 11:00am--2:00pm at Ansche Chesed (251 W. 100th St., New York, NY). All are welcome. Contributions in Stan's memory may be made to Hunter College Foundation, 695 Park Avenue, Room E1313, New York, New York 10065 or online at hunter.cuny.edu/ giving, noting "in honor of Stan Moses."
