Bruce Wierzbicki Obituary

Bruce A. Wierzbicki

Bruce A. Wierzbicki, age 59, of Senecaville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born on September 26, 1954 in Akron, a son of Alice (Movens) Wierzbicki of Hudson and the late Frank Wierzbicki.

Bruce was a retired Golf Course Superintendant at Cambridge Country Club. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Southeastern Ohio Paddlers. He was an avid kayaker, Cleveland Browns Fan, story teller, reader and a fanatic history buff, especially the Civil War. We will miss his infectious grin, quick wit and superior paddling skills. Bruce was also an animal enthusiast, especially cats, chickens, guineas and goats.

Bruce leaves his wife, Jeannette M. (Murin) Wierzbicki whom he married on December 10, 1994; two brothers, Frank (Sandy) Wierzbicki of Bath and Randall Wierzbicki of Hudson; two sisters, Sharon (Sonnie) Wilson of Alliance and Susan Hague of Texas; several uncles; several nieces and nephews, Cheryll, James, Sally, Christine, Lisa and Lori; and several great-nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by Mr. Bailey, Haley and Chloe-no.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m., with the service on Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Katie Kerrigan will officiate the service with burial following in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Civil War Preservation Trust, or Save the Manatees, or to Make A Wish Foundation. Dear Jeannette,

It has been many years since I worked with Frank, Randy and Bruce at Boston Mills Country Club in Boston Heights when we were all in high school together. Every time I'm on a golf course, I think of the great times we all had in those days. Bruce and I became close friends then, and drifted apart when we went our separate ways after high school. However, I have often thought of him over the years, and every time I do, I can't help but smile and laugh at what he said and did. He was a very good friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him. My condolences to you and the entire family including Sharon and Susan. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all. I would love to hear about the rest of the family some time.

Sincerely, Steve Enders
