It's been about a month since I learned of Tj's passing. In that time, I've been trying to make sense of it and to find the right words to write here. I've fallen short in both attempts. In part, I think it's because there is no real "sense" or just the "right" words; especially briefly expressed.
Above all else, Tj was a passionate person; perhaps, to a fault. He always gave that proverbial 110% to whatever he did. He could be the most understanding and tolerant person, or not at all. He was most passionate about injustices to others; in particular, those who were seen as disenfranchised or powerless in some way. This was especially true of anyone who was disabled in any way.
Tj would not let himself or others endure any disability without a "fight". He fought to enable himself and others to overcome limits imposed on them either by themselves or by others. He fought by example!
At times, Tj's passion could exceed the remedy required. But if there was a wrong to be righted, he was there. And, at times, his concern for others could show no bounds.
I know that Tj touched so many in his caring, concerned, and thoughtful ways he had for others. Perhaps, that is the "sense" we are to make of his passing.
I also know that he will be missed by me and the many he touched! Perhaps that will be of some comfort to his Mom, his family, and friends. And, perhaps, now Tj will Rest In Peace!

I worked with TJ in Knoxville during his training period. He was a joy to work with and I enjoyed his wit. He was always smiling and found good in most things even when they were negative. As TJ, I am a diabetic and we shared stories about our insulin pumps and Dr. Page. He will be missed but, now he is taking care of the little ones in Heaven.
