Dustin Roger Demar

Dustin Roger Demar, 44, of Johnson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1981, at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. He is the son of Roger Demar of Johnson and Denise and David Mayo of Morrisville. He had a deep bond with his beloved French Bulldog Finnley.

Dustin was employed at Magee Office Products as a Director of Business Development. He lived by their logo, "It's all in the delivery."

On June 2, 2001, Dustin married Michelle Laflin. They shared a life for 24 years and then came to parting of ways. Even after they separated, they continued to stay friends to the end.

Dustin was the life of the party. If he was around, his presence was felt by all who were present. He loved to joke and tease and was always looking for a reaction. You really needed to watch out for that huge grin of his; you never really knew what the grin was about or what he was about to do.

Dustin was always there for everyone, willing to help with anything for anyone. He was generous to a Flaw with a heart of Gold. Always helping but expecting nothing in return.

Although he didn't have children of his own, he loved everyone's children. When there was anything going on that fundraising needed to be done, call Uncle Dustin – he would help. He loved all kids, but he especially loved his nieces and nephews. Seaver & Zoey Demar, Gwen & Griffin Gibson, Greyson Leon & Parker Larson, and Theo Cheney.

Survivors include his parents, his beloved dog Finnley, his partner Gretchen Jarvis, his brother Todd (Stephanie) Demar of Defiance, Ohio, his sister Torri (Doug) Cheney of Cookeville, TN, and stepbrother Tyler (Kim)Mayo of Cabot. Nieces Oakley Demar & fiancé David Wolfrum of Defiance, Ohio, Madison (Kyle)Gibson of Sparta, TN, Natalie (Brock) Larson of Sparta, TN, Victoria Mayo & partner Nick Crum of Cabot, and Seaver & Zoey Demar of Morrisville. Nephews Merritt (Chloe) Cheney of TN, Chad Mayo of Cabot, and grandmothers Ramona Audet of Morrisville and Denise Audet of Barefoot Bay, FL. Many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His brother Daniel Demar predeceased him in 2016. His grandparents, Arthur & Leona Demar, and Raymond Audet, passed earlier

Calling hours were held at Lamoille Funeral Home, 853 Brooklyn Street, Morrisville, on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services were held at the Lamoille Valley Church of the Nazarene on Rte. 15 in Johnson, Wednesday, September 24th, at 11 am
