Clarence W. DeMar

Clarence William DeMar affectionately known as "Bunny" passed away on June 23,2025, at the age of 93. Clarence was born in Leominster on February 6, 1932 and remained a resident throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Alice (Miller) DeMar, his brother Milton DeMar, a daughter Janet DeMar and daughter in law Tina (Alario) DeMar. He is survived by his wife Geraldine (Navaroli), children David DeMar of Fitchburg, Susan Leahy and her husband Daniel of Leominster, John DeMar and his husband Timothy of Holliston, Jane Clermont and her husband Joseph of Leominster, and Elizabeth Pierce of Fitchburg.
Clarence grew up in North Leominster. His childhood was a happy one enjoying family, friends and many animals, especially his horses. Clarence attended the Leominster Public Schools and went to work for the A & P supermarket at the age of seventeen where he worked in various locations for forty- two years until his retirement. Clarence became a Real Estate Broker and enjoyed selling homes part-time. He also took pride in his time as the city gardener where he helped beautify Leominster.
Clarence served in the United States Army from 1952- 1954 assigned to the mobile surgical mash unit. In 1954 he married the love of his life Geraldine Navaroli. They were married for seventy years. His hobbies included golf, playing cards with his friends, watching old movies and discussing history.
Clarence enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, as well as his eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He encouraged everyone to value family, friendship, hard work and kindness, by the way he led his life. Our cherished Clarence will be remembered for these qualities by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 11 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Leo Church, a burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
