Edgar Stevens Obituary

Edgar L. Stevens Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Edgar L. "Eddie" Stevens Jr., 56, passed away July 19, 2011, at his home. Eddie was a retired carpenter. His passions were music and drums. He will be truly missed by all that knew him. Eddie leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his mother, Sondra L. Malbone and stepfather Joseph D. Malbone of Virginia Beach; three children, Jeremy Fleming and Patricia Fleming of Richmond, Va., and Melanie Rosenthal of Portland, Ore.; four brothers, Timothy L. Stevens, Christopher S. Stevens and Brian J. Malbone of Virginia Beach, and Michael E. Malbone of Richmond; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edgar L. Stevens Sr. of Raleigh, N.C. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. Earnest Trueblood officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.

Sondra, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I could not even imagine your pain. My thoughts and the thoughts of our family are with you at this difficult time. I know that this is hard on you but try to take good care of yourself.
