William Sivels Obituary
Chesapeake - Sivels, William Stringfield, Sr. (1922-2018) Mr."Dick" Sivels, Sr., of the 1000 block of Head of River Road, and as affectionately known to his family and friends, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home in the morning of Thursday, January 25 at his home in Chesapeake. Born in Norfolk County, Va. (now Chesapeake, Va.) to the late Namon and Casandra Sivels, he was a lifetime member of Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.
His funeral will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5 to 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com .

To My Dearest Family, my heart joins yours during this time of sorrow. I come to remind you that the joy of the Lord is your strength. Uncle Dick was a man of much character, strength and wisdom. He's at peace free from the sufferings of this world He demonstrated endurance during his illness and you ALL were there by his side! You nurtured and cared for him each day! You gave him his flowers through your acts of caring. He was blessed to have children and family like you! Be strong in the power of God and He shall sustain you! So sorry for your loss. God has given us a life span of 70 or 80 years if we are strong.
Ps. 90:10 Mr. Sivels enjoyed a life well lived.
