Daniel Conner Devlin, 16 of Richland Twp, PA, died tragically on Thurs., May 13, 2010. Beloved son of Albert "Al" (Theresa Melaragno) Devlin and Ellen (Dettling) Devlin. Also surviving; Siblings, Jason (Erin) Green; Emily Green; Kyle Devlin; Lee Devlin; Grandparents, Eileen & Lee Dettling, Lorraine & Tom Taggart; Numerous Aunts, Uncles & Friends. Visitation will be on Mon., May 17, 2010 from 2- 4 & 7-9 PM at the HERBERT R. KING, JR. FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tues, May 18, 2010, 10:30 AM at St. Catherine Of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2554 Wildwood Road in Wildwood, PA. Please Meet at the Church Tuesday Morning. I only knew Daniel when he lived next to my relatives, and I would see him at their child's birthday parties. He was the kindest, most polite young man that I had ever met. I told my boys what an example he was for them. We also knew him through wrestling, my son was younger, but when we saw Daniel at a match, Daniel always said hello with a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My thoughts and prayers go to the entire Devlin family. When Dan left us, a part of Pine-Richland High School did as well. He meant so much to so many. It didn't matter who were, everybody knew Dan. Sitting in class seeing his empty seat is one of the hardest thing, but we all remember that he is in a better place. Dan will be forever missed and loved and never forgotten.

Dan meant the world to so many people. He was the social butterfly of the class of 2012. His friends were everywhere- the shy girl in the hall, the football and wrestling teams and everyone in between. He was nice to everyone. I'll truly miss him. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Loosing a child is a hard thing to overcome. We as humans do not think that it should be this way, but remember GOD always has a plan and it is in times like these that are faith must stand strong as we know now that Dan is in great hands now. I am at such a loss of what to say about Daniel. He, Lee, Emily & Ellen were my neighbors when he was about 8 years old. He was the sweetest funniest young boy - always a smile on his face. Dear Dan,
We will never forget the North Hills Middle School wrestling match in your 8th grade season. The look in your eyes when you and your father embraced after pining your opponent to help Pine-Richland upset the Indians. Your father screamed for you to hit "the bundle" and you executed the move with perfection, avenging an earlier defeat. May you rest in peace.
