ESTADT JOSEPH E.

Of North Versailles, age 75, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Beloved husband of Joan (Smith) Estadt for 54 years; loving father of Joseph P. (Maria Silva) Estadt of Ross Twp., Chris (Cathy) Estadt of Plum, Brian (Christina) Estadt of North Huntingdon, Jeff Estadt of North Versailles and the late infant daughter, Suzanne; proud grandfather of Nicole (Joe) Kulasa, Jennifer (fiancé, David Klein) Estadt, Joseph J. Estadt, Cian and Kylie Estadt; great-grandfather of Emma Kulasa and Hannah Klein; brother of Mary Alice (Ed) Lewis of CA; uncle of Edgar"Scott" Lewis. Joe was an Electronics Technician for the Switch Gear Division of Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh until the plant closure in 1988. After working with an electronics firm, in 2004 he became employed in the maintenance department of Wal-Mart in North Versailles, working there until retirement. A 10-year cancer survivor, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. With twinkling eyes a quick laugh, he had an inborn curiosity that led to a lifelong interest in current events. Friends are welcome on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday. Time later. Joe will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
