Well Dad it's my turn to add a little note to you and mom. We all know how much pain you were in with your back all the time, sometimes worst than others. I know you are not in anymore pain and you are now where you wanted to be, with mom. You gave us a gift when you were in the hospital that none of us will ever forget. When we all went to lunch and aunt Phillis was there, we returned to find you wide a wake ,sitting up smiling and joking! Then you got tired and we all decided we would let you rest and all go home for a good nights rest, and as I kissed you good bye and said I love you I whispered in your ear We are all going home so take your special time and do what you need to do and give mom a kiss for me! Within an hour of us leaving we got the call you were gone .Thanks for all the good times ! Love you both so much! Your loving daughter Vickie

Dad,
I am really going to miss you. It has been very hard since moms passing, to see you in so much pain and sorrow. I could see how much you missed her. It is very comforting to know you are with her now. You were a great and admired man who accomplished a lot in your life time, and had time to "play" later in life. I have so many good memories. Thank You. I can feel that you and mom are smiling down on us. RIP I Love You.
Your loving daughter,
Rena

Grandpa,
I love you. You were a stubborn man but soft at the same time. You loved your western movies and could watch them all day long. I am part of an amazing because of you. I will cherish every moment I've had with you and grandma. Hearing you tell me you love me and your soft kiss on my cheak was a wonderful memory. Give grandma a kiss for me. I love you both always..

Grandpa you were the strongest man I will ever know. I want to say thank you again for letting me have my wedding at your house, it was the best day! I will cherish those memories forever. Your legacy will live on in all of us who have a little bit of you in them. I know I inherited your stubbornness/bossiness but that only means we are leaders and have a good head on our shoulders. You took care of your family and were a hard working man, that's all anyone could ever ask for in a good man. I won't forget your nickname for me "your little sauerkraut" because I was born in Germany. You loved original beauty so whenever I put on makeup around you there was always that comment "I didn't know it was Halloween". You were never afraid to say what was on your mind, another quality I have. I don't mind being like a man who had respect from so many. I feel lucky to have those qualities from you. I will think of you and grandma often. You both are missed but are finally resting in peace together. It's your love that inspires me and I will admire for the rest of my life. Love you forever! Your loving granddaughter, Jessie

Dad,
I'm so sad you had to leave us ,but so happy you are with Mom now. That has been your most prayed for wish since her death. I wanted to Thank you for being such an amazing provider for your family. We had such great childhoods traveling and camping and boating with you and mom. Many people never saw the soft side of you. But your children did. Thank you for the fun and the adventures and the extra money for the dance that mom didn't know you gave me.
I am in awe of all of your accomplishments.
Rest peacefully Dad. I love you.
Dorie
