Duane Holland Obituary
Duane Leon (Babe) Holland, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with his loving children by his side. He joined his loving wife, Anne Laurie Visconti Holland. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Howard Holland II and Irene (Olin) Holland; sister, Linda (Holland) Berean and niece, Linda Jennings. He is survived by his children, Tammy and Elias Pelletieri, Maria Person and Nikolas, Mike and Koleen Holland, Mitchell and Kallie, Kim Marshburn, Mike, Blake and Corey, Lisa Pilotti, Dominick, Anthony and Alex, Tracey, Megan and Brian Gorton, Matthew Holland, Chris, Zach, Eloise and Max; brother, Clarence Howard Holland III and Trudy; sister, Dottie and Ralph Verrastro; Irene Anne Rose Pacilio; special friend, Marty Doorey. Dad worked as a delivery boy for Drazen fur coats before entering the Korean War in 1950 in the US Navy "The Forgotten War" and was honorably discharged in 1954. Dad then worked at Endicott Johnson Shoe Corp. and 31 years at Singer Link before retirement in 1991. He enjoyed reading, playing cards, coin collecting, watching sports and listening to music. A funeral service will be private at the family's convenience. Special thanks to Lourdes Hospice. In Duane's memory contributions can be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation (Hospice), 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton NY 13905. Thanks for putting up with all of us dad. We love you. Give Mom a big hug and kiss from all of us.
