Precious Great grandchildren surviving are Angelina Grace Mueller, Emma Abigail Mueller and a special miracle from God Sebastian Henry Allyn. Also survived by her sister Evelyn's daughter Brenda Ruston, whom she dearly loved and her husband MacNeil-Mick, their two boys, Bradley James (wife Andrea Denise) and Craig Alan (wife Erin Michelle), and two great nephews MacNeil Robert and Austin Michael (children of Craig and Erin). Phyllis is also survived by a lovely step-family- Gary Decker (wife Sandra), Linda Meade (husband David), step-grandchildren- Matthew Schrader, Gary Alden Decker (wife Lisa),David E. Meade (wife Patty), Heather Anne Chansler (husband Eric). Step Great Grandchildren Michelle Meade, David Emory Meade, Stephanie Taylor Meade, Jennnifer Marie Meade, Britani Nicole Chansler, Eric William Chansler and her youngest "Miracle of our Lord" step-great grandson Gary Fred Decker. Oh the miracles my Lord doth make, so precious they all are- each and every one - child -grandchild - great grandchild. - I Thank You God. There are many "Lounsbury" relatives surviving also. In 1942 Phyllis graduated from West Junior High School and in 1945 she graduated from Johnson City High School. She was employed at B.F. Goodrich Tire Co., Nelson Motor Co., Link Division G. P. and for 20 years at Broome Technical Community College (later named Broome Community College). She was a Girl Scout volunteer leader for 15 years in the Binghamton, Endwell and Nimmonsburg areas. In December of 1952 she joined the old Nimmonsburg Methodist Church and served her church in many capacities; President of the Woman Society of Christian Service, Music Director of the Children's Choir, Elementary Church School Superintendent, Church school teacher, Jr. and Sr. High MYF leader and their church school teacher, Adult choir member. Faithful member of the church prayer chain, older adult house group member, bowling team member. For many years she was the WSCS representative to the School of Missions at Keystone College in PA. With our Minister Rev. Arthur Andrews, in 1967 Phyllis and Art took the willing hikers of the SR. MYF to the Adirondacks to climb one of the peaks (backpacking). A new experience for some but what a wonderful God-Experience it was. She published the "WORKER FOR CHRIST" page in the church newsletter for many years to spread love throughout her church to help every one to know each other, to better understand and to love each other as Christ wanted us to - just in hopes her little bit would make a difference somehow. She loved to be with people and to work with them. Her family and Church meant the world to her, as did her Lord. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Eileen Sloth officiating. Burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 10am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Endowment Fund of the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.

Mom, you went home with your Lord, one month ago today. I miss you terribly much. I would not wish you back to suffer. I know you are healthy, happy, and whole in God's presence. I just suffer from self pity frequently through out my days. I love you and miss you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day in heaven with your Mom and family.
