Bishop, Leonard L. "Lenny"

Leonard L. "Lenny" Bishop 70 went to be with his late wife, Florence, on Thursday morning, March 20, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. He is survived by his son, Leonard L. Bishop Jr. and April Campbell of Binghamton; his daughter, Florence Bishop and Chris Stanton of PA, three grandchildren, Brittanie and Damianne Bishop, and Karissa Stanton; his brother, Albert Bishop; two sisters, Alice and Liddie Bishop; several nieces and nephews and his companion of twenty years Liz Beloch and stepdaughter, Chris. He retired as a warehouse supervisor for CAE Link Corporation, Kirkwood and a caretaker of SS Cyril & Method Church. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved is his family and he enjoyed watching the Yankees, the Giants and old movies, barbequing, hunting trips and puttering around his home. The family will receive friends Monday, March 24, 2014 from 9-10:30am at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton with a funeral service afterwards. Burial with military honors will follow at the Liberty Section of Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Lourdes Hospital for their compassionate care given to Lenny.
