Ritter, Angeline (Matalka)

Hillcrest: Angeline (Matalka) Ritter, of Hillcrest, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, April 11, 2013, with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her parents, Michael and Mary (Duffek) Matalka; a granddaughter, Margot Charlier; a special friend and companion, Ken Wall; two brothers, Stephen and Victor Matalka; three sisters, Anna Finch, Velma Pado and Mary Bennett; two nephews, Victor Matalka and Robert Finch; and her goddaughter, Nancy (Matalka) Skutnik. She is survived by five children and spouses, Mary and Fran Charlier, Johnson City, Mike and Trudy Ritter, Johnson City, Catherine and Jim Hrncirik, Cincinnati, OH, Alberta and Michael Casey, Chenango Bridge, John and Kathy Ritter, Chenango Bridge; 10 grandchildren, Lauren (George), Leah (Steve) and Elise; David, Steven, and Scott; Andrew and Matthew; Danielle and Erin; one great granddaughter, Sophia; one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Marion Matalka, TX; also several nieces and nephews; a special family friend, Mary Frances Charsky, Hillcrest. She was a longtime member of St. Catherine's/St. Francis of Assisi Church in Hillcrest. She was a retired employee of the Singer-Link Corp in Hillcrest with 22 years of service. Angie was a woman of great faith. She loved her family, her church, her home, the outdoors, and long walks. The family would like to thank special friends, Beth and Linda and staffs at UMH Hilltop Campus and Wilson Hospital for the care given to our Mom. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1031 Chenango St. Binghamton Tuesday at 10:30AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 9:30AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to Catherine's Cupboard c/o St. Francis of Assisi Church in Angeline Ritter's memory. Arrangements are by the J.F.
