Kadlecik, Edith Mildred

Whitney Point: Edith Mildred Kadlecik, 88, went to be with our Lord on July 23, 2013. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Her parents Louvimen and Frances Lawrence predeceased her, along with her four siblings and Samuel Kadlecik Jr., her husband of 45 years. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Edith was employed at Singer Link for 36 years, retiring in 1987. She was a long-time member of the Ascension Lutheran Church and served for many years as a volunteer in the Women's Altar Guild and as a Sunday school teacher. Throughout her life she enjoyed many hobbies and activities. For more than 30 years, Edith loved meeting new people on her annual family visits to California. In her most recent years she was a snowbird in the Florida Keys. Edith was a giving, kind and beautiful person, who was always willing to help anyone. She will be greatly missed. Looking at Aunt Edith's picture makes me smile. It takes me back to times that were more simple and filled with hope. Her laughter and warmth were a great gift to me. May God rest her soul and bless her Family.

Edie was our wonderful neighbor on OVR for years. She was not only a great neighbor, but she was also a caring person as she took such good care of her mother for so long. May she rest in everlasting peace.

Very sorry to hear of Edith's death - I remember seeing her @ Link when we both worked there in the 70s/80s and of course "up on the hill" during my childhood days. May your good memories help you during this difficult time.
