James Kenneth Alden
of Kirkwood, N.Y.
James Kenneth Alden passed away November 11, 2008. He was born July 10, 1927, to Kenneth James Alden and Beatrice Alden in Binghamton, N.Y. James is survived by and will be dearly missed by his son, James William Alden; and wife, Anne, Fort Mill, S.C.; two grandchildren, Amy Alden Donnelly, husband John, Edgewater, Md., and Todd James Alden, wife Marlene, Davidson, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Elle Maria Donnelly, Kelsea Marin Donnelly, Christopher James Alden, and Rocco James Alden; a sister, Pat Harvie, Cheyenne Wells, Colo.; and brother, Alanson Alden, Calif. He was of veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. James was a life member of both the American Legion Post 357, Hallstead, Pa., and the VFW Post 6223, Great Bend, Pa. James was manager of building maintenance at Link Aviation, Kirkwood, N.Y. until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed his family and a good game of pool.
At James' request services will be private. Donation can be made to the American Cancer Society. Dad, I love you and will miss you. Arrangements are by the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, New York.

Little Jim ( not so little), Anne, Amy, and Todd I share great sorrow with you at the loss of "Big Jim" as us kids knew him.I always held a high regaurd and respect for the man I called "Uncle Jim" we all have lost a big piece of life with his passing but are still blessed with the seed of his living in Little Jim to abound into new life. May the love of God and the stregnth of Christ help us all see beyond the loss and remember the many gifts he left us with as he is now walking the streets of gold in waiting for us all.............Chuck Rolston (nephew)

Little Jim,I and sorry for your loss of yours. Your dad was inspirational in my life and My 28 years in the Fire Service. He will be missed by all that he touched and inspired.Withhis easy going and alway had an ear and sound addvice. Thank you for sharing a small part of his time on earth.
