Harpursville: Robert W. Strickland, 82, formerly of Chenango Forks died at 2:20 p.m. Thurs. May 23, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Willie. He is survived by his 3 children & families, Deborah & James Rhodes, Greene, Carole & Tom Pangburn, Chenango Forks, Robert & Kathy Strickland, Harpursville, 4 grandchildren, Amanda & Tim Fyfe, TX, Sarah Rhodes & fiancé, Dan Forsyth, Dryden, Jesse & Sara Emm, Endwell, Bradly Strickland, Harpursville, 3 great grandchildren, Ryann Fyfe, Jakob & Neilia Emm. He was also predeceased by his parents, Howard & Virginia Strickland and 5 siblings. He was a retired employee of Broome County Parks & Recreation, Universal Instruments & previously employed by Singer Link. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. He spent his retirement years enjoying gardening, working on his tractors & morning coffee with his buddies at Henry's.

Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Wed. at 7 p.m. Rev. Robert D. Dwyer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Wed. from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to service.
