Alan Lueck, 78, passed away on January 6, 2010 at his home under the care of Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. Alan honorably served his country in the United States Navy Feb. 1951 to Feb. 1955. After receiving his Engineering Degree from Broome Tech in 1957, he worked at Link Flight Simulation, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed golf, bowling and making stained glass artwork. Alan is survived by his wife, Irene Tesar; endearing family members; and special friends. Alan is survived by his beloved pets, Tina and Pretty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Thelma Lueck; his son, Kevin M. Lueck; his sister, Leatrice Hebbard; brother and sister in-law, Joseph Jr. and Frances Tesar; and his mother and father in-law, Joseph Sr. and Mary Tesar. Special thanks from Alan's surviving family are expressed for those individuals that provided support and care during his extended illness.
Family and friends will be received at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, on Saturday, January 16, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon. Services will be conducted by David Andrus, a very close friend of the family. Burial will take place at a later date in Glen Castle Cemetery.
