Andrew Perez Obituary
Port Crane: On Saturday afternoon June 16, 2012 the angels came to Andy's home and took him to Heaven to be with those who predeceased him. His devoted wife and daughters were by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Edna, his daughter Christine, his brothers Joe and Nino, his granddaughter Vicki Gee, and his son-in-law Edwin Gee. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Josephine (Jo) A. Perez, his daughters; Shari Ann & Merton Blakeslee and Kathleen M. Gee, his son; Mark A. Perez, a stepson; Kurt and Kim Werth, 8 grandchildren; Sylvia, Deron, Eddie, Mark, Rita (and Jamie), Kelsi Mae, Kyle and Kate, 5 great-grandchildren; Syrus, Memphis, London, Parker and Cole, 3 sisters; Aurora (Margo) Spak, Janet Harding and Josephine Sinickson, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Andy worked for Singer-Link for over 37 years in a variety of positions and retired as Manager of the Engineering Change Control Board. He helped to organize and maintain the Link retiree's breakfast and annual picnics. Andy enjoyed big band music and was a popular singer in the area during the 1950's and 60's. He was an amateur radio enthusiast, a devoted photographer and an avid football fan, especially the NY Giants. The family wishes to thank Yesteryear Day Care for 6 years of care, Lourdes Hospice for their comforting care, and a special thank you to Dr. Spivak for all of his wonderful care and concern over the years. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Chenango Bridge United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association Share condolences at hefuneralhome.com. Services provided by the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.

I was a new hire at Link many (many) years ago and Andy was always helpful and made me feel "at home". Later I absolutely enjoyed the 'reunions' I attended. He will be missed by all of the "Link Family". My prayers are with the Perez family.

Andy and my Dad Albert 'Rocky' Rockwell worked together @ Link and he and my Dad were good friends. I knew Andy also from working @ Link and I'm sorry to hear of his passing. My Dad has also passed and would be sad to learn about Andy.

I send my prayers and love to my family as I cant make it for the funeral. my father was a great family man hard worker and he enjoyed many activities and his family. my prayer is that my family be comforted and cradled in Christ's love and his(dad) legacy can be best remembered with him in our hearts.
