Connie was the nicest person I ever met. So kind, so considerate, so professional in every way; a true gift from God to the local community and her fellow workers. Connie was Link and the perfect reflection of the wonderful people who worked there. She will always be in my memory.

Aunt Connie, What can I say but THANK YOU and God Bless you. You certainly had everything to do with me getting my first job after college at Link. If I had a nickle for everyone that said to me what a wonderful human being you were just in the 12.5 yrs. I spent at Link, I wouldn't be working today, but more important than that, if I had a nickle for everyone that Winnie or I ever met that said "Are you any relation to Connie?", there wouldn't be one hungry person in the United States. That is certainly true. You touched the lives of so many people, in so many ways and that has always had a positive reflection on the Esworthy name. Thank you for giving me advice throughout my lifetime, thanks for the words of encouragement and thanks for ALWAYS being present in my life. I am amongst many men and women to have been Blest by God to have you apart of my life. Say hello to Grandpa, Grandma Bess, Mom, Dad, Uncles Frank, Ward, Bruce, Gordon and others as well as Aunt Betty, Lil, Peg, Jean and others, as well as my dear friends from childhood, high school and college that left this earth way too soon. I Love You and will always hold a special place in my heart for you. Tom

We met Connie in 2003 when my Mom (Ruth Waters) moved in across the street on Highland Ave. Connie and Mom became great friends, close neighbors and always looked out for each other. Mom thought the world of Connie. We always looked forward to visiting her when we came into town. She was kind, had a great sense of humor and was very caring. I'm sure Mom and Connie are up in heaven having afternoon tea and enjoying each other's company once again. She'll definitely be missed. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with Connie's family and friends.

To the Esworthy Family,
Connie was the sweetest person that I ever had the pleasure of befriending. She made everyone feel like they were special, when in reality it was she who was special. I had the privilidge of working with her for 16 years and she was always ACEs to me. She was truly an inspiration and a source of many hours of laughter and fun. She will be greatly missed by half of binghamton. I feel bad for the other half, because they never knew her! I know heaven is a much better place today than it ever was.

Heaven is a better place today because another of God's Angels has joined his heavenly gathering. Each time I traveled to Binghamton I always made it a point to visit with Connie. On many occasions we were able to work together on Ed's (Grubic) and Bill's (O'Donnell) projects. She was truly a special person with many special gifts. God rest her soul. Peace Connie.

Connie was the very first person I met at Link when I interviewed for a marketing position in the Fall of 1974. As she did with our customers, vendors, guests, etc., she made me feel like I was the most important person to enter the Kirkwood lobby that day! As I assumed responsiblity for the Employee Assistance Program, I was able to use Connie's natural traits as a counselor: her unlimited empathy for people with any kind of a problem, her listening skills, her ability to put people at ease...to open up and to trust! All God given talents! My heartfelt sympathy to all her family she loved so much. We share your great loss. I am totally convinced St. Peter has a new receptionist in heaven's lobby and I hope to see her there one day.

To Shawn and all Connie's family - my deepest sympathy on the passing of Connie - one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Connie, for years, was the face of Link to our customers. I have no doubt that much of our business success was due to the warmth and friendliness she showed to everyone who came thru Link's front door. I know that many of our best customers considered Connie to be a "best friend" - she had that natural ability to make everyone feel that they had known her for years, that she was happy to see them again.
I certainly have always felt that way. Even after we had retired, when I'd see her, she treated me like a long-lost best friend. I have no doubt, if I'm lucky enough to wind up in the right spot when I pass on, Connie will greet me that same way. And I'm sure she'll do that to all the folks who were fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of knowing Connie in this life.
May God bless her - I have no doubt that He has a special place of honor for her - if any person ever followed Christ's direction to "love one another as I have loved you" - it was Connie!
