Charneca Da Caparica, Portugal, formally of Endwell, NY: Carlos Nunes was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. He traveled extensively, to include residing in Germany for several years before settling here in the Broome County area. After retiring from Singer-Link he endeavored to travel back and forth between his two homelands. He passed away in his native land on January 16, 2013 following complications from the flu. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Abilio and Filomena Nunes and his sister Olga Henriques. He is survived by his sister, Esmeralda Nunes of Charneca Da Caparica, Portugal; his son and his family, Mario and Susan Nunes and Alexander Nunes, Phillip Wiltshire, Colton Wiltshire, and Sarah Wiltshire of Apalachin, NY; his neice and her family, Fernanda and Carlos Oliveira and Gabriel of Fair Lawn, NJ; his son Christian Kolmsee of Memphis, NY; his brother-in-law and nephew Raul Henriques and Antonio Henriques of Lisbon Portugal and Elizabeth, NJ respectively; also many other aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends. Carlos was a loving father who cared deeply for his family and friends. He had a quick wit and he loved to laugh. Carlos took great pride in his profession as a metal worker and he demonstrated unique creativity and talent in his interests and projects. Most notably, Carlos had a passion for his beloved seafood and other recipes from Portugal. His big smile and hearty laugh will be sorely missed. Carlos was laid to rest on January 18, 2013 near his home in Portugal.
