My heart goes out to all of Connie & Michelle's family....where did these past 10 yrs. go? She will never be forgotten..I often wonder why a terrible uncalled for tragedy like this could happen to a family so good & kind? There is no answer...My deepest & sincerest sympathies go out to all of Connie remaining family who were left behind...All that we love deeply becomes a part of us & when that part dies, we also die inside, what was lost can never be replaced....

Dear Dave,
Words can not begin to express the deep sorrow we feel for you, Ron, Phil and the Harris family. Two better people would be hard to find. Connie was a wonderful, loving and caring wife and mother. She took pride in establishing a business that provided some serenity and peace for all who entered through its doors. She was a hard worker – up at the crack of dawn to start the day anew. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with the two of you some years ago. Those pictures now are treasures as are others from happy occasions. Days will turn into months and months into years…. you will never ever forget – you just learn to live - differently. She will always be with you; watching over you. Talk to her, look at pictures, visit familiar places you two would go. Her memory will live on.

Our love and deepest sympathy,

Julie Lewis

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the tragic and sudden loss of Connie and Michelle. Words cannot adequately express what you must be going through.

I did not know Michelle, but did know Connie. I met her a few years ago, when she joined our local chapter of the National Association of Wedding Professionals. She participated in one of our bridal shows at Terra Cotta, and she had such good results for her business, Aria on the Avenue, that she maintained her membership for the last 3 or 4 years.

When I was president of our chapter, I took her out to lunch once at Hurricane Rylies. I remember talking about her kids, as she said they were just a little younger than me...we communicated periodically through email about NAWP matters, though because of her busy work schedule, she was never able to attend monthly meetings.

She just sent me an invitation to "connect" on the business website "LinkedIn" about three weeks prior to her death, saying she'd like to add me to her business connections. That is the last time I heard from her.

She was very professional, responsible and just really kind. I always liked to hear from her. On behalf of the Upstate NY chapter of the National Association of Wedding Professionals, we will miss her dearly.

Athough I did not know her personally, Constance was a member of our Wedding Professional Group. We were proud to have Aria on the Ave. as a member of our group and our condolences and prayers go out to her family.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the tragic loss of Connie and Michelle. I first met Connie when she opened Aria on the Avenue. I asked her if she would be willing to give a talk to the Entrepreneurial Society Group, sponsored by Broome Community College which was an organization for new start ups. She shyly said she would think about it. I convinced her it would be good for business and that won her over. She explained what it takes to find the right affordable space, open and run a shop. Connie proudly explained how she established her business. She was very instrumental in fixing up the store and she gave us a tour of her facility. She was especially fond of the room she had set aside for couples massage therapy. She shared her thoughts, and gave a wonderful speech on what it takes to run a business. Her passion and committment to what she loved was an inspiration to budding entrepreneurs. She had a winning personality and she will be missed dearly.

A great friend of mine referred me to Connie for a massage about 4 years ago. I will never forget the way I felt when I walked out of there. I wasn't sure I was even on this planet. I loved going there not just for the massage but for the wonderful disposition Connie had about her that made the massage even more meaningful. She was such a wonderful person to talk with I remember talking to her about her daughter Michelle and telling her how beautiful she was. Connie spoke with me about all her daughter's accomplishments. I know her husband and sons, no less the rest of her family, are hurting beyond what words can describe. I am truly and deeply sorry for you loss. Heaven has two special angels up there that are continuing to put smiles on people's faces. God Bless You all.

Dave,
Our deepest sympathies to you and family. The few times we saw you, Connie & Michelle, everything that is being said here is sooo very true about them. Connie always had a smile and I felt like I'd known her forever. As we spoke last nite, we will get together with some of the "ole" West Endicott gang. I've always felt a bond between all of us, especially at a time like this. You are in Pete's and my thoughts and prayers.

I met Connie when I had The Corner Cafe on Washington Avenue. She and her staff were always supportive of my business. It was a pleasure to get to know her. As a new business getting started she helped me out by offering my services to her Spa clients and doing catering for some events at Aria. I will always appreciate how supportive she was. My family and I also reciprocated her kindness by using the services of Aria which have been excellent. My sympathy goes out to your family during this most difficult time.

Dear Curtin family,

I had the great honor of knowing Connie through the Vestal United Methodist Church. We were on the CHM committee for a period of time together. She was one of the best message therapists ever..a touch like no other. She was always so professional and caring. Her positive attitude and kind spirit will always be remembered. God Bless you all during this terribly tragic time. May she and Michelle rest in peace.

Dear Familes of Connie & Michelle,
There aren't enough words to express my deepest and sincerest sympathies. I do not know why two beautiful and talented girls have to die so tragically. Why do bad things happen to good people? I will never know. I knew Connie when she worked as a tech illustrator and over the years, she never lost that smile or positive attitude. My heart goes out to everyone, not only for today, but for tomorrow and in all the days to come.

I always looked forward as an Aveda rep to the team meeting with Connie and her "team of talent" at Aria on the Avenue. I walked in the door to a warm and welcoming smile. Connie deeply cared about her guests and her team. She was both professional and a wonderful business woman. Connie always did the right thing...a tribute to the success of her business. I read in the guest book where Connie was referred to as an "exceptional healer." How true. Only one with great care and passion for others can accomplish this. Connie's spirit will inspire and lead her team to continue Connie's path of healing for all guests at Aria on the Avenue. It was my pleasure to have known Connie and Michelle.

Rest my friends
Who have gone too soon

Lives filled with bloom.

Flowers for people
With teaching and touch

And oh what a team
Who loves you so much.

Aria on the Avenue
Where people come to be

A whole new person
With stress much-relieved.

An expression of sympathy
From me to you

Your memory will live on
In us all, and that’s true.

Peace and Comfort, Connie and Michelle,
and to your Family as well…

Connie & I became friends years ago when we both belonged to a circle at Vestal U.M. church. Many years later, Michelle was my French student. I never met Connie, but I had the privilege of going to Connie's salon and having a massage by Jennifer at Aria on the Avenue. You are one special person who I wished I met. God bless the family right now and know everyone is behind the Curtin family through this difficult time. I am praying for you. God Bless!

My sincere and deepest sympathies go out to the Curtain family. I formed a very special bond with Connie as she was my massage therapist for about a year. She took very good care of me and was very caring towards the pains that I physically endure on a daily basis. I am so sad and so shocked at this tragedy. I was supposed to see her on Wednesday night at 6pm but I cancelled. To hear that the news happened the night after was quite something for me, I can't even put it into words. I loved Connie and will not go to another massage therapist again, she was the best. I'm not trying to say that the others aren't good but Connie had a way. I am so sorry to her entire family and loved ones.
