David Hagerman Obituary

David C. Hagerman
of Harpursville
David passed away on January 22, 2007 and is now off on a great adventure with his father God. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Cleona and his sister-in-law, Pat Holmberg, who was by Cleona's side caring for David every step of the way. David is also survived by his four daughters and his son, Elizabeth and Jerry Romain, Castle Creek, Saundra and Charles Warner, Greene, David and Deborah Hagerman, Chenango Bridge, Susan and John Austin, Harpursville, Amy and John Kocik, Harpursville; and his grandchildren, Tina and James Hodges, Kris and Jamie Nilsen, Chris and Lisa Christian, Courtney and Nathaniel Emerson, Curtis and Jill Christian, Justin and Rachael Hagerman, Corey Hagerman, Peter and Randi Austin, Tiffany Austin, Stefan Kocik and Hannah Kocik; and eight great-grandchildren. David was a very active member of the Masons having completed 32 degree in both the York and Scottish Rites. He was a member of the Consistory of Commandry. He was also a Royal Arch Mason and belonged to the Shriners in which he was a clown. He was also a member of the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church. David worked for 28 years for CAE Link and taught a pre-engineering course at Broome Community College after retiring. David was an avid gun collector and hunter. He also enjoyed carpentry work. David loved his family and was happiest when they were around him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26th, at the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church on Upper Front Street in Binghamton, with Rev. David Rockwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in David's memory can be made to the loving, caring angels at Lourdes Hospice, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905; or to the Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, 918 Front Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
