Edward Kilmer Obituary

Edward John Kilmer, Jr.
of Binghamton
Ed Kilmer, Jr., 80, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 8, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Robert L. Kilmer; and three great-grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Alice (Mason) Kilmer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph E. and Bruna Kilmer, Edward J. III and Amalia Kilmer; one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and John T. Robertson III; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Helen Kilmer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ed was a lifelong member of St. James Church, Johnson City, and served in the U.S. Armed Forces. He retired from Singer-Link, Binghamton, after 37 years of service as an electronic engineer.
Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Monday at 9 a.m., and 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the St. James Church Memorial Fund, 147 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y. 13790, in Edward John Kilmer, Jr.'s memory.
