Gordon A. Tyler
formerly of Greene
Gordon A. Tyler, formerly of Greene, passed away May 30, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He is survived by his wife, Halcyon Tyler, Binghamton; his daughters and son-in-law, Susan Tyler Stinson, Syracuse, and Wendelyn and Ed Cordwell, Canton, N.C.; his brothers, Charles D. Tyler, Jr., Hurst, Tex., and Ralph M. Tyler, Woodland Hills, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Carolyn C. Stinson, Syracuse, and Stanley T. Cordwell, North Carolina. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC of Greene. He was a veteran of World War II. Following the war, he was employed at Singer-Link Aviation in Binghamton for 39 years. He was well known for his photographic work, some of which was exhibited over the years by the Greene Art Club.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kennedy Funeral Home, 21 N. Chenango St., Greene, with the Rev. Richard Tosh, Pastor of his church officiating. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene. Friends may call at the Kennedy Funeral Home, Greene, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, UCC of Greene, or the Living Care Fund at Good Shepard-Fairview Home.
