James J. Henderson Jr. KC2KTJ
of Kirkwood
James J. Henderson Jr., 61, of Kirkwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; one son, Jay Henderson, Endwell; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Phillip Angarone, N.J.; one sister and brother-in-law, Laurel and Bernie Petkus, Mass.; mother-in-law, Violet Sivers, Montrose, Pa.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Jerome Cornell, Del., Joyce and Fred Clark, Binghamton; one brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Joanne Sivers, Montrose, Pa.; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Robert; several nieces and nephews. James served in the US Air Force and was retired from Hughes with 29 years of service. He was a member of the East Coast Amateur Radio Club and the 4PM'ers. James loved the outdoors: fishing, gardening tomatoes and flowers, model railroads, HAM Radio, vacations, the Weather and History Channels. He was also an avid sports fan; he enjoyed SU Basketball and the Yankees.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2005, at Savage Funeral Home, 338-344 Conklin Ave., Binghamton, with Rev. David Seaver, Chaplain of Lourdes Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery with full Military Honors and a bagpiper. The family will welcome friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005, at the Savage Funeral Home. At the family's request, expressions of sympathy may be made in James' memory to American Cancer Society or Hospice. Expressions of sympathy can be made online at www.savagefs.com.
