Please know our thoughts and Prayers are with you at this very difficult time. My Mom was Viola who had the greenhouse/florist and I fondly remember
going to Betty and Toots'house and Mom speaking of Philene. May fond memories help you through the "gray days".

So sorry to read in the Transcript, about Philene. We were neighbors, for so many years. I'm sorry, that once someone moves, we lose contact, with one another. Loved the family so much. Eva, I have wondered many times, about you and the family. I just lost George, the 20th of June. My sympathy to all the family, am so sorry. God Bless, I will always remember all the Edwards Family, as wonderful neighbors, and friends. Janet Tice Smith, 30 Eldridge St, Susquehanna, Pa

So sorry to learn of Philene's passing. My grandparents, Hank and Marge Conklin Ostrom were great friends (and perhaps related to)with Aunt Betty and Uncle "Toots" Edwards. I have heard my Mom, Janet Ostrom Bonker, and her sister, Jayne Ostrom Deluca, (both deceased), speak of both Philene and her brother Donald. I know when Aunt Jayne moved back to the Binghamton area she spoke with Philene a few times, but I don't know if they ever got together. Too bad that we don't keep friendships up.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

Philene was a very special friend to us, and she will be missed dearly by the Conklin family. You will always be in our hearts, especially on the holidays!

So very sorry to hear of Philene's passing. She was first cousin of my mother, Wilma Edwards Rust. We had recently reconnected and talked several times on the phone about the Edwards family genealogy, one of our mutual interests. She will be greatly missed.
