6/02/26-3/09/06Robert F. Crawford, 79, of Aztec, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2006. Mr. Crawford was a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy. He proudly served his country as a Sea-Bee in WWII. After the war, he attended McGill University in Montreal. Mr. Crawford worked as a specialized project manager in highly technical fields such as airplane simulation, large hole drilling and mining, and safety devices for military equipment for Singer Link, Atkins & Merrill, Phoenix & Sisson, and Conax. While living in Tulsa, Okla., he earned his pilot license which afforded him many years of pleasure. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, dogs and fishing. He also had a lifetime passion for golf. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude A. and Katherine M. Crawford; brothers, Edwin L. Crawford and Claude A. Crawford Jr.; his sisters, Martha A. Harris and Katherine M. Hill; and brother-in-law, Richard Hill. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, D'Arline (Pud) Crawford; three daughters, Claudia Connerton and her husband, Michael, Binghamton, Caryn Hughes and her husband, George, Fairport, N.Y., Lezlee Ellison and her husband, Kirk, Creede, Colo.; six sons, Christopher Crawford and his wife, Brenda, Fredricksburg, Va., Craig Crawford, Binghamton, Clark Crawford, Vestal, Charles Crawford, Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., Curtis Crawford, Vestal, and Collin Crawford, Vestal; seven grandchildren, Priscilla Prentiss, Jennifer Crawford, Brendan Hughes, Cameron Hughes, Lauren Hughes, Morgan Hughes, and Cendra Crawford; brothers-in-law, Douglas N. Harris, Vestal, and Thomas M. Robinson, Bloomfield, N.Mex.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy H. Crawford, Binghamton, Patricia (Engates) Crawford, Clermont, Fla.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Burial arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may kindly consider contributions in his memory to the Aztec Animal Shelter, 825 Sabena St., Aztec, N.Mex. 87410.
