Rose Tino Chubbuck
of Binghamton
Rose Tino Chubbuck, 92, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph A. Tino and Earl Chubbuck; her parents, Maria and Patsy Versace; sisters, Josephine Spencer and Sally Cuzzacre. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Larry Davis, Binghamton; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Dey Tino, Montville, N.J., and Marcello and Lorain Tino, Ithaca, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Lawrence J. Davis, Jr., Arlington, Va., Jeffrey L. Davis, Binghamton, Dr. Thomas H. and Kathleen Davis, Binghamton, Joseph N. Tino, Montville, and Julian Tino, Ithaca, N.Y.; also two great-grandchildren, Lawrence J. Davis III, and Thomas H. Davis II; also a sister-in-law, Ida Tino; and several nieces and nephews. Rose and her husband, Joseph Tino, were the proprietors of the Green Front Restaurant on Collier Street in Binghamton. She was employed at Singer-Link Flight Simulation and retired from Broome County Department of Social Services. Throughout her life, she enjoyed reading, music, and dancing. She loved cooking her marvelous Italian food for family and friends. She was so proud of her Italian heritage and shared it with her family. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Willow Point Nursing Home for their loving care.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 8:45 a.m. at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, N.Y., followed at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Rose's memory may be made to St. Mary's Refurbishing Fund, or Soup Kitchen, 37 Fayette Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
