Henderson, Ruth

Susquehanna, PA: Ruth June Henderson, 95, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away at the Barnes Kasson Hospital late Monday evening, May 2, 2011. She was predeceased by her sisters, Maty Henderson, Roberta Schilling, Alberta June Lewis, Verla Buckel, Reba Ripke, Elizabeth Brown, and Pauline Searfoss. Ruth was survived by her brothers, Robert Utter and wife, Alva and Bernard June; her sister, Arlene Snyder; nieces, Margaret M. Allen, Shehawken, PA, Cathy Valentino, Ithaca, NY; many great, great great, and great, great great, nieces and nephews; and as requested by Ruth "A very special great, great, great nephew Benjamin Arthur Burman held a large portion of her heart."; and caregivers Justin and Rita Faigle.

Ruth was a lifetime resident of Susquehanna, PA. She worked at IBM, Singer Link, and the Barnes Kasson Hospital until her retirement. She also had a love for golf and the New York Yankees.

A memorial service will be held at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave, Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, May 6, 2011, at 1pm, with Rev. James Rouse officiating. Burial will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson SNF. A special thank you from the family goes out to the staff at both the Barnes Kasson SNF and the Barnes Kasson Hospital.

Justin and Rita, We thank you for all you did for Ruth, You took such good care of her and she loved you so much. She was ready to go and she is with Maty now. We will miss her. We have Great Memories of Ruth from the trips we made up north and when she came to Florida to visit us. Ruth had a good long life and was loved by so many, so let us Celebrate her life and be thankful for the time we had with her. We love and miss you Ruth, Rest in Peace.
