Johnson, Sophie A.

Town of Chenango: Sophie A. Czeczot Johnson, 92, of the Town of Chenango, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2012 at her home, with her daughter at her side, after a full and happy life. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Helen Opinski Czeczot; and her sister, Stella Covaleski. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Johnson; her lifetime partner of 50 years, John Tomashek, who was the love of her life; her brother, Leonard "Chet" Czeczot; her niece, Linda and Dan Ehrenreich; great nephews, Steven and Mark Ehrenreich and their children; as well as Faith Angulus and her friends and neighbors who will miss her. She was a lifelong member of SS Cyril & Methodius Church, Binghamton, and a retired supervisor at Singer-Link. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas and had a great social life with her longtime partner, Johnnie. She was loved by all who knew her and enjoyed life to its fullest. She was fun-loving and young at heart and enjoyed gardening. The family wishes to thank Hospice for the care given to Sophie. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.

My condolences to the family of Sophie - I worked with her at Singer-Link and she was a wonderful person and so full of life. My thoughts and prayers are with you, hold onto all the wonderful memories.
