Suzanne Kabat
of Johnson City
Suzanne Kabat, age 87, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday evening, December 6, 2006, at the Susquehanna Nursing Home. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Patrick; also three brothers, Michael, John and George Patrick; three sisters, Helen, Dorothy and Maria Patrick; one granddaughter, Jennifer, Kabat. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Kabat; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Lorraine Kabat, Johnson City, James and Mary Ann Kabat, Binghamton; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Mary Patrick, Endwell; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Patrick, Johnson City; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of S.S. Cyril & Method Church. She was employed by Singer-Link for many years. Among her interests were crafts and she was an avid seamstress. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be missed by all, especially her grandchildren, who were a dear part of her life.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:00 from Sedlock Funeral Home, Inc., 161 Clinton St., Binghamton, and 9:30 at St. Cyril's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered for her. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Sedlock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing may make memorial contributions in Suzanne's name to the Lourdes Hospice. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Wilson Hospital North 4, Lourdes Hospice, Susquehanna Nursing Home, for the loving care extended to their wife, mother and grandmother.
