He was my High School principal many, many years ago in tiny Somers CT. He was a good man and I have found memories of him.
At that time Somers was transitioning from a agricultural,
rural community. He made a point making sure his students were prepared for college.
Somers was not a wealthy town - yet we all felt we received a great High School education and that education made a difference in life.
I would not be were I am today without that foundation. It started at Somers High School.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Auclair. I worked for him for a few years. He was a great man, boss, and educator. His legacy will live on.
Again I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. May you all take comfort in the fact he was a wonderful person.

Now Jerry is in heaven town. I'm sure god will watch over him and protect him.
Now that Jerry's in heaven town and there's know way to reach heaven town, just close your eye's and Jerry will be there and when you open up your eye's and look up Jerry will be waving to say hi Tina and blow you a kiss to say I miss you but I'm ok in heaven town.

Tina, Jerry Farrell just called me about Jerry. I’m very sorry. He was a true gentleman and had a great sense of humor. I always admired his wonderful ability to recall information for just about anything. I always enjoyed playing golf with him. He always had some great stories and jokes. His knowledge of the Red Sox and Patriots was extremely interesting. He always talked about his family and how proud he was of everyone. He was a wonderful friend and I will really miss him, as will everyone who knew him. His final request is typical of who he was.

Very sorry to the family for your loss. I met Jerry coaching the softball team at Southington High School. He always supported me in every way including coming to games and encouraging me by name.....his support was always appreciated.....the amazing part about Jerry is he never forgot you....I moved on to coach at Trumbull HS and one day at a game I heard a voice encouraging me from the stands....it was Jerry who came to see me and say hello....that’s the kind of man he was.....I loved him and will pray for him....God Bless You, Jerry....

Jerry. Good fight my friend. We met in Junior high school in 1956-57. You came from the Plains", me "Woodlawn". Became instant friends. Odd
You were Catholic, I was Protestant.
You loved the Red Sox, I loved the yankees.
You excelled in math, I didn't.
From that point on we seemed to be inseparable, and along with Artie and Rick..a fun group of young lads who really cared about each other and always had each others backs.
Poker games, nickel dime, draw one. Your famous whiffle ball field. Always a Red Sox pitcher on the mound..me always Micky Mantle at bat.
I have a picture of the four of us in graduation gowns the morning of the big day in 1963. Big smiles, each one of us ready to beat the world.
Rick went into the military, Artie to AIC, and you to Umass. each off to different dreams and hopes.
I will never forget you coming up to the Holyoke Hospital at midnight, to sit with me, waiting for Kim's birth...you were the only one to visit.
Few more years later I moved on to Chicago and you to education.
Too many moves, we lost track, and for that I am sorry.
From ready your obit, you did good Jerry..very good
Next week you should do lunch with Tom Yawky and maybe Steinbrenner...give em hell
rest in peace my friend

Jerry was a friend, a colleague, a mentor. I was privileged to know him as the principal of Darien High. He guided the community through the building of a new high school and guided me as a rookie athletic director hired to lead one of the largest and most successful athletic programs in the state. We talked Red Sox, Patriots and school issues daily. I will miss his smile and good judgement

I had the pleasure of teaching math with Jerry at Nonnewaug High School. He was a great teacher with high standards. I have never met a more rabid Red Sox fan. He was a great educator with a wonderful career. Ed Dorsett

Jerry was a good friend and I will miss him.; he called me “Joe the hammer” almost every time I stepped on the first tee. He brought a smile to everyone around him. We send our condolences to Tina and all the family.
