I have known Zen since my family moved to Kerhonkson in 1965. Whenever I had run into Zen it was always such a delight. Zen's name still comes up while meeting people in all types of situations. Stories from so many who have had the pleasure and good fortune of meeting and knowing Zen. He has helped so many in one form or another and I am so fortunate to hear those stories.

Olga, and family I am truly sorry for your loss. Zen was an important guy in my life as I'm sure he was to many. When I was a young teenager and contemplating the risky career of being a musician, Zen once told me, "As long as you pursue your music, and as long as I own a restaurant, you will never go hungry." Those are the words of a genuine benefactor and a mentor. I became a musician and have made my living playing music for over 4 decades. Of all the great luck to have in one's early years, knowing Zen was my great good fortune. Yet, he never let me play that darn piano! I'm very grateful for all his kindness over the many years we knew each other. My condolences.

Sending love and condolences to Zen's family. Remembering Zen, Olga and the Log Cabin with our parent Wasyl and Aloisia Tatunczak (when we first arrived in Kerhonkson in 1965). We will sorely miss seeing Zen around town. Louise(Boyle) and Cathy T.

Sending my love and condolences to the Sawchuk Family at this time! Zen was a beautiful soul who always had time for our Siena crew and took care of us-sending delicious food and love to a group of college students who longed for a home cooked meal and lavished in the attention he gave to our shenanigans! Thank you for making all of us a part of your beautiful family over the years! He will be sorely missed and our thoughts and prayers are with you all!
