CHARLES STREAMER

Charles W. Streamer, MD 1924 ~ 2009 Charles departed this life at the age of 85 on 9 November 2009 and went to join his wife, Evelyn who passed in 2007. His three children, Charles Jr., Stephen, and Suzann survive Charles Sr. Martha Martin, his sister, also survives him. His two daughters-in-law, son-in-law, and five grand-children will also miss him. Charles received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado in 1949. After completing his internship and pediatric residency in 1952, he served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1954. Charles became an instructor and assistant professor at the University of Colorado Medical School from 1954 to 1960. He became a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics in 1956. Charles established a pediatric private practice in Pueblo, Colorado in 1961, and continued his private practice until 1983. During his time in Pueblo, he continued as a clinical faculty member at the University Colorado Medical School, where he became Clinical Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics in 1988. He closed his practice in Pueblo to become a staff pediatrician of FHP/Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1984. He remained with FHP until he retired from medicine in 1996. A private family memorial service has been held.
