Bernard Villa Obituary

Bernard 'Barney' J. Villa died on June 28, 2006 at the age of 74 after a long illness. Barney was a lifetime resident of San Antonio. He proudly served in the US Navy with the Blue Angels as an electronics technician. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and St. Mary's University. He had a long career in business forms sales and recently retired from Thompson Print Solutions after 30 years. Barney was a lifetime member of Lions International and the Northside Lions Club. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan; daughter Paula and her husband Terry Friedrich; his two grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Tamara and Eric. He is also survived by brothers William, Louis, Jimmy and his dear sister Louisa Ann along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends. SERVICES Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral mass will be Monday, July 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church on Wurzbach Rd. Entombment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery will be Friday, July 7 at 10:45 AM.
