Lupe M. Garcia passed away February 6. She was 89.A lifelong San Diegan, Lupe attended Memorial Junior High and San Diego High School. In 1953 she married Richard "Dick" Garcia, and they had seven children Monica, Richard, Veronica, Dennis, Barbara, Mark, and Adrian.Lupe was a longtime parishioner of St. Rita Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the St. Jude Sodality, best known for their Mexican food bingo kitchen.Lupe was predeceased by husband Dick, sons Dennis and Richard, and her Marquez siblings. She is survived by five children, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.Visitation is at Goodbody Mortuary, Wednesday, Feb. 17, 4-8 p.m.; rosary is at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass is at St. Rita Church, Thursday, Feb. 18, 10 a.m.
