TERRANCE (TERRY) SCHLOSSER Obituary

August 24, 1949 - January 8, 2019

Teacher, coach, fisherman, loving husband, father, brother and teacher, Terrance (Terry) Joseph Schlosser passed away in Arlington on January 8, 2019, from complications of Parkinson's disease. Terry was born August 24, 1949 to Casimer and Dorothy Schlosser of LaMoure, N.D. He was the second of three siblings.

Terry met the love of his life Toni, while attending Central Washington University. The two married and moved to Camano Island shortly after their graduation in 1973. Terry and Toni taught, inspired and loved their students in the Stanwood-Camano School district for over 30 years while raising their two children. There was no Terry without Toni and there was no Toni without Terry.

Terry was a man larger than life, took pride in a hard day's work and would always be the first to offer a helping hand. He devoted his life to his wife, kids and students, never missed an opportunity to educate, tell a good joke and no visit to his home was complete without a trip to the garden for more vegetables than anyone could carry.

We will all miss his kind words, calming voice of reason and little smirk after a good joke.

He is preceded in death by his wife and parents and survived by his daughter Meghan, son Jacob; sisters Mary Jean and Connie and many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Family, friends and others who were touched by Terry's life are invited to attend funeral services at 11a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood WA 98292. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Schlosser Family Scholarship Fund in Terry's honor. Donations can be sent to: Stanwood Camano Area Foundation, P.O. Box 1209, Stanwood, WA 98292. Please write "Schlosser Family Scholarship Fund" in the memo line.
