May time help the healing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you find the peace and comfort that comes with time. So very sorry for your loss.

I will miss Jack's easy-going, affable, fun-loving nature, his endless patience while helping us through an endless construction job, and that smile! Oh my heavens! My heart goes out to my dear friend, Jill, and I know you rest in peace, dear Jack, because you will always be one of the best! Lynne Walsh

I found the girl of my dreams, and needed a job right away! I called every contractor in the phone book, leaving messages. I must have made 40 calls, no one answered. Then I called Jack. He answered. I convinced him to take a look at me even though he was not hiring. We hit it off and I happily worked for Jack for 11 years. He knew how to empower people, so they would want to perform well. I fell down some stairs, and dropped a window I was carrying into a new window with broken glass everywhere. All Jack asked was if I was OK. I will be in Italy at the time of his service, and I am very sad to not come. I am eternally grateful to Jack, I still have the girl. All my love, Captain Kirk

As Jack's next-door neighbor for 17 years, I think what I miss will be hearing him tinkering on his hot rods in his garage. He found a lot of joy bringing his old Fords back to life and he was a very good mechanic, in addition to his other skills. He was a great neighbor in many ways--always there when I needed a hand, but providing plenty of space. We had a lot of good times talking "over the fence" and sharing fantastic meals at Jack and Jill's house or dining out in Fairfax or San Anselmo. He was a generous soul and he will be greatly missed. My best to his wife Jill and to his children and grandchildren.
