V. Robert Hepler Obituary

Jan. 28, 1929 - Aug. 31, 2013
SOUTH BEND - V. Robert Hepler, 84, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2013. Bob was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Valley George Hepler and Mary Ann Hepler, on January 28, 1929. He attended Riley High School and the University of Washington, where he played varsity football for three years. Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force. Bob enjoyed a forty year career in the aerial lift and construction equipment business, including as founder and CEO of Bob Hepler Construction Equipment Company. Bob is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Helen; their four children, Rob (Anne) Hepler, Carrie (Mike) Barry, Chas (Amy) Hepler, and Anno (Jeff) Boerst; his sister Julie Hevel; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his dog Duffy. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 5:00 pm, October 12, 2013, at Audubon Country Club for friends and family. A celebratory pancake breakfast will undoubtedly follow at a later date.
