Eugene McDowell Obituary
Quincy - Eugene "Gene" McDowell, of Quincy, FL, passed into eternal rest January 26, 2021 following a courageous battle with leukemia. He was preceded in death by his father, John McDowell, mother, Rucell Edwards, step-father, Tommy Edwards, and a sister, Lois McDowell Altman. Gene is survived by his wife, Peggy, son, Blake both of Quincy, and his niece, Mona Payne of Jacksonville, FL.
Due to COVID a memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Coach Mcdowell will always be a very special part of UCF's football history... so many firsts under his watch, so many accomplishments! Thank you, Coach! Rest in peace. And many thanks to his family for supporting him during all those years he spent changing young lives and building a legacy.
