Dear Borchard Family,
I met John as a little boy in El Centro, California. He would come by my house countless times to catch the school bus in the morning. (I lived in the property his dad owned) I always enjoyed his sense of humor. My prayers go out to the Borchard family.

God bless and keep your family. We, also, lost a love one on that flight. Heartbreaking & trageic for all invlovled. Our family is praying for you and yours, John. May your rest in peace. Our hearts go our out John's wife and children he leaves behind. We know what you are going through. I did not know John, but from what I've read, he was one incredible person. Ours was too.

I have many great memories of John at NAU. When I heard he was gone I felt a shadow cross my heart. He was always a positive person and always had a great, subtle sense of humor that kept us all smiling. I feel grateful that I got the opportunity to know such a good person. I went through Sigma Chi pledgeship with his brother Jim, and I can only imagine the sorrow he, and rest of the family must be feeling. My heart truly goes out to them.
In Hoc John, you will be missed.

words cannot explain why these things happen and for what reason, all i can remmeber is that John was a freind and i always looked forward to talking with him, im deeply sorry for your familys loss, as well as all those who knew him in passing, he was an excellet person and his attitude was of the higher quality of kinds, peace to you John and hope your family can find rest in the future

We are deeply saddened to hear about Johnny’s passing. We have such fond memories of him. Johnny was not one to sit still very long and he touched a lot of people’s lives in his short time here. His love for his close-knit family and children was always apparent. He will be missed.

I am glad that I had a chance to see John a few years ago at a wedding, and share some old memories. We had many great times at NAU and at the Sigma Chi house. John was a good man and will be missed.

Melissa, Pat, Jim & the entire family: Unfortunately, I only knew John for about two years. In that short time I came to realize that he was truly one of the good guys and I admired his determination to be even better. I feel fortunate to have known him. I will miss him.
