Mrs. Moore,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Moore was my favorite teacher of all time. It seems like only yesterday we were at Higgins and he was teaching me to drive (and in the snow). He was a great and carring teacher. I went on to attend Husson and he was influential in that decision as well.

Dear Cynthia,
Eric and I just learned of Dick's death. Our thoughts are with you and your family. We send our condolences to you all. As I write, I am remembering a time when Dick rode his small tractor and collected apples from neighbor's yards for a cider pressing party. The memory of his smile and enthusiasm is what comes to mind on this fall day so many years later. We are so sorry for your loss.

Dear Cynthia,
It is so strange that this is the only way I have of communicating with you but at least it is something. I have no other address.

I have thought of you constantly since I received word of Dick's death. What a terrible shock and a devastating loss for you all. You have the irreplaceable grace of having had such a joy filled life together. I hope that will be of some help in learning to live with that terrible emptiness that goes with it in the months ahead. It has helped me.

I have just moved and have had a difficult few weeks healthwise. Plans to go to Hammy's in Ohio will keep me from the funeral. I'm very sad about that. Please call me sometime. I'd like to get together after I return.

Love to you and your children and loving memory of Dick and his gracefilled life with you all.. Ansley

Mrs. Moore,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Moores passing. I remember well when you lived in the dorm at Higgins. Mr. Moore was always kind, fair, and good to everyone. He was one of those special teachers you always remember. I remember one time the two of you gave me a ride home on a Friday afternoon. I lived in Atkinson ...and you were going to Milo. You had a volkswagon. It was winter and there was a lot of snow on the roads. The snow was hitting under the car and it was slippery. Mr. Moore kept joking about the car being not too good in the snow and that we might have to walk. We didn't! I was a sophomore that year. I was homesick most of the first two years at Higgins and was very grateful for the ride home on the weekend.
He will be remember by so many and those memories will make us smile.
My thoughts and prayers , to you Mrs. Moore and your family.

Cynthia & Kids:

Where do I start? I worked, side-by-side, at CU, with Dick for 10 years. He is not only a friend to me, he is family. Each and every work day I depended upon Dick to guide me through work and life. We would often talk about our personal lives, our families, our goals. I can tell you one thing for sure, he was so proud of his wife and children. He loved you all in such a special way. He had such a clear understanding of his important roles as father and husband.

Although I left CU several years ago, my friends made, will ALWAYS retain a special place in my heart. Names like, Joe Gould, Bill McLaughlin, Scott Stacey, Ray Spencer, Frank Hayden, Amy, Patty, Dana, Sid, Robin, Carrie, Tom, Debbie, Lori, Jim McLellen, Roland Boutin, and so many others. Dick had so many friends all over the city. He will be missed by so many people.

I will be absent, on Saturday, from the service. I will be running a conference at Jeff's Catering within sight of old Acme Road. I cannot get our of this commitment.

Know that my heart and my prayers will be with you. Dick was truly my friend. I enjoyed EVERY moment that I worked for him. He was ALWAYS fair. He was a very good and honest man. We will all miss him. Rest in Peace my friend.

Cynthia, if you need anything at all, please call me 299-8586.

Love to you all,

Scott
