Rodney Harman Obituary
YORKTOWN - Rodney L. Harman, 59, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on June 5, 1956 in Muncie, the son of Don E. and Joyce A. (Wade) Harman.
Rodney graduated from Yorktown High School with honors in 1974. He was remembered fondly by Yorktown Tiger Fans as #43 as he helped the Tigers to some thrilling victories during his basketball career spanning 1970-1974. Mr. Harman owned and operated Harman's Septic Service.
Survivors include wife of thirty-five years, Deborah (Bourne) Harman; mother, Joyce Harman; daughter, Erin Harman; grandchildren, Marley, Bella, and Elijah; sisters, Julie Harman Vance and Lori Harman Bundy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don E. Harman.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Road. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at The Mt. Pleasant mortuary.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and Dr. Jenifer Zook and staff.

Rod and Don have been my friends since we played ball in High School. I will miss them both. Yorktown has lost two favorite sons. I pray God will comfort you all in this time of grief.
