Hineston - Funeral services for Earlene Marler Harper Burns will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Camp Eight United Pentecostal Church, 2675 Highway 121, Ottis, Louisiana with Reverend Samuel Russell and Reverend Jodie Stokes officiating. Committal service will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery of Hineston under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.



Earlene, 86, of Hineston, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. Earlene was born in Alexandria on July 1, 1931. She grew up in Hineston, Louisiana. She was a member of Camp Eight United Pentecostal Church. Earlene worked at England Air Force Base, the V.A. Hospital and Alexandria Iron and Supply. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends.



She was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Burns and her parents, Bronson and Jodie Dyess Marler.



Those left behind to cherish her memory are: by her son, Dwayne Harper (Irene); daughter, LaDonna Harper Weatherford (James); son, David Anthony Burns; one brother, Keith Marler (Barbara). She is also survived by her step daughters, Rene' Burns, Gail Burns Engle, and Marla Burns Gamble. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roxanne Weatherford Ricker (Jason) and James Bronson Weatherford, Stacie Kinder Belle (Keith), and Ryan Kinder (Angel); five great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.



In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.



Visitation will be held in the Camp Eight United Pentecostal Church on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church.
