Alan Cheek

Funeral services celebrating the life of Alan Cheek will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend James Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Tioga Cemetery.

Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and resume on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Alan Cheek, 41, of Pineville, passed from this life on Friday, December 2, 2016, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee and Rita Manuel Cheek.

Alan is survived by his wife of 7 years, Kristie Reeves Cheek; daughter, Katie Watson; sons, Gavin Cheek and Jesse Watson and his wife, Natalie; granddaughter, Abby Watson; brother, Matthew Cheek; sisters, Felicia Schindler and Monica Straube and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Heath Nichols, Edgar Voiselle, Jr., Keith Karisny, Mark Gambordella, Jr., Derek Calloway and Ray Schindler, III. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Cheek, Nathan Doine, Nicholas Doine, Blake McClaugherty, Haydan Toal, The Tioga Junior High School Football Team and Baseball Team.
