Gerald Paul Fredieu

Gerald Paul Fredieu, age 82, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Dry Prong, Louisiana.

The Visitation for Mr. Gerald will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hebron Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverends Dick Debusk and Travis Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Moreau Fredieu; parents, Rufus and Ola Fredieu; brother, Murrel Glen Fredieu; and 4 grandbabies.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Paula Murphy (Tony) and Lynn Fredieu (Jeannie); grandchildren, Casey Murphy (Brittnee), Zachary Murphy (Alyssa), Hannah Fredieu, and Rebecca Beeson (Gabriel); 7 great grandchildren, Tristyn, Jaylon, Desi, McKinley, Ella, Averi, and Aiden; and dog, Pennie.

Gerald was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, duck hunting, and gardening. Mr. Fredieu owned and operated Fredieu Tile & Marble for 30 years, known for his craftsmanship and dependability. He was a longtime member and Deacon of Hebron Baptist Church and was always willing to work and help where needed. When he wasn't working, volunteering at church, running errands with Lynn, he enjoyed travelling; even making a trip to Alaska. Mr. Fredieu will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Tony Murphy, Casey Murphy, Zachary Murphy, Gabriel Beeson, Jody Moreau, and Kerry Moreau.
